MITA is the agency appointed by Government to serve as the central driver of ICT policy, strategy and national ICT projects. It also provides ICT services and professional project management and consulting services to the Maltese public sector. It is dedicated to assisting the Government transform technological innovations into real business solutions. Malta Information Technology Agency (MITA), formerly MITTS Ltd, provides ICT services and professional project management and consulting services to the Maltese public sector. It is dedicated to assisting the Government transform technological innovations into real business solutions. Its unique approach combines an innovative array of services with focused delivery capabilities and a tested and approved methodology to help maximise the benefits of investment in technology. By means of its ICT and project management services, MITA helps the Government implement available technology in the fulfilment of its strategies and projects. The information technology solutions are based on leading edge communications, network and server technologies. In collaboration with the Commonwealth Network of Information Technology for Development (www.comnet-it.org), MITA provides consultancy services to small states that share a legacy associated with the British Commonwealth (a number of Caribbean States and dependencies). Importantly, MITA is also the agency appointed by Government to serve as the central driver of ICT policy, strategy and national ICT projects.
