From: Patrick SCHOULLERSubject: recherche de partenaires Madame, monsieur Quelques recherches de partenariats PS-ES-2289 Le centre de recherche espagnol CARTIF Foundation recherche des partenaires pour un: Projet: STREP Dans le défi: 2.2 Cognitive systems, Interaction, Robotics Nom provisoire du projet: Robotic system for an autonomous interactive bellboy robot Date de clôture: 08/04/2008 Sujet: Project context: - Through the years, an increased need of assistant robots has emerged. This is due to the rising complexity of our society and economy, the greater demand of well-being, an increased aged population, and a great amount of people with difficulties to deal with new, changing technologies and devices. - Autonomous robots have reached a notable success in Universities and Research Centres, upon recent results in the involved technologies (beacon-free navigation, mapping, Slam). Indoor navigation along large corridors and roomy spaces has been mainly envisaged (along with navigation through ample outdoor spaces). However, only a few robots with restricted functionality have escaped the laboratory. - Robots have to interact with humans and the environment in a user-friendly and social-compatible way. This requires new robust and versatile perception systems, along with solid interaction strategies. - A paradigmatic application scope combining significant social and economic impact, and challenging but realistic research objectives should be looked for. For this project, hotel environment has been chosen. Expertises demandées: They are looking for two different partners: Partner 1: Expert in autonomous navigation and environmental modelling. - Autonomous navigation in dynamic environments. - Environment modelling. - Planning. Partner 2: Expert in friendly human-robot interaction and communication. - Robot-human interaction. - Embodied Conversational Agents (ECAs). Partenaires recherchés: The partners can be: Universities that contributes significantly to the state of the art of each field. To fully exploit the opportunity to execute multiple code streams in parallel, the system provides a set of technical information to assist the user in maximizing performance and regenerate him using the human immune concepts. Expertises demandées: They are looking for experts from: n Bio - Informatic Development companies: Companies with experience and skills in development of Bio Informatic engineering n Software/Hardware Development companies: Companies with experience and skills in development of software engineering n Ergonomics: Expertise in group processes for distributed teams and computer supported cooperative working. Partenaires recherchés: The partners can be: n BIO - Informatic Research+Design companies n Universities and proffesional associations n Public services (hospital, agencies) n ICT Developers The consortium is looking for a coordinator.
