centres,

Travarsity is a project targeted towards the lifelong learning and continuing
education for professionals. It recognises that professionals have to upgrade
their knowledge and skills on a continuously and have to upgrade themselves
life long basis. 
The project aims at using ICT enabled tools for creating an enabling platform
for achieving the above objectives. It differs from the regular approaches of
elearning by creating an enabling environment for LEARNING as opposed to the
TEACHING paradigm. The basis of the approach is a vertical industry focus to

Since patient safety is the most important criterion of surgery, surgeons are
required to plan the surgery before operating the patient. The system
developed
in this proposal will function as a surgical planner. It will facilitate the
interaction of the surgeon with the virtual patient prior to the operation.
Computational steering is a valuable mechanism for scientific investigation in
which the parameters of a running program can be altered and the results
visualized immediately. Hence, the introduction of computational steering into
a surgical planner and training platform would allow the surgeon to interact
with the subject in real time and plan this pre – operative surgery in a more
natural way.

Sujet:
The goal of the project is the piezoelectric approach to components for
microrobotic systems with accurate actuators and sensor modules "feeling" the
adjacency. It is to allow a reaction to the situation in the surroundings
(force return, measurement of the elasticity of the tissues, etc.
In minimally invasive surgical devices, the potential of piezoelectric
materials is the possibility to integrate together tactile/force feedback
sensor and the actuation system, in some way. A problem is the reduction of
the
input voltages which are needed for the actuators.
The dispositive is shaped as a piezoelectric micro gripper system with four
degrees of freedom, able to be used as well as micro manipulator for the
handling of very small and weak parts like tissues or cells as a sensor for
force return.

everyday. Major advances in automobile engineering have provided us with good
performance vehicles, but there is a lack of devices/systems that can reduce
driver stress. We do have the provision of “Auto-Pilot” in airplanes to help
reduce the stress of Pilot but, there has been no step towards providing the
same or similar in motor vehicles run on road, where the rate of accidents are
much more as compared to accidents in air.
So we propose to develop an Intelligent system that can help in navigation,
reduce the driver stress and contribute to safer and more efficient driving.
