Patient Specific Labour Failures

Sujet:
The project objective, as part of VPH approach, is to develop computer models
with simulation ability of female pelvis, uterine cervix and fetal head in
order to help the medical staff predict the likelihood of a labour failure for
a specific pregnant woman.
Expertises demandées:
(1) Data and Statistics Research - Processing and analyzing information
that has
been collected and developing mathematical algorithm for the prediction of
patient specific labor failures. 
(2) 3D tracking and positioning - Developing 3D module that enables real
time 3D
estimation of patient pelvis, cervix and fetal-head position and station, and
3D module helping to assess uterine contractions in preterm labor. 
(3) Ultrasound Scanner - The scanner contributes in building the pelvis and
fetal-head models and simulations, developing methods to assess uterine
contraction in preterm labor. 
(4) CTG Monitor - Developing a small CTG monitor that could be integrated
into a
PC system and enable application of signal processing algorithms to analyze
the
charts monitored. 
(5) Image Processing - Developing real time image processing algorithm. 
(6) Cervix Detector (Plastic) - A unique, biocompatible, minimally invasive
device that is capable to be attached to cervix and detached from cervix. In
addition, this device needs to utilize a sensor such that it will enable
continues monitoring of the cervix. 
(7) Operation manager - Clinical operations manager.
